Configuring the EtherJet adapter to work with IEEE802.3

Question:

How can I configure the EtherJet adapter to work with IEEE802.3? It works for Standard Ethernet, but not for IEEE802.3. I have checked the entire manual that comes with the card, the Windows 95 configuration screens, LANAID, and the forums. My network is IEEE802.3 and is required by my customer.

Answer:

One way I have been able to get the adapter to use 802.3 is by booting to the lanaid diskette. At that point you come to a lanaid c prompt and you can type /ether8023. Also you can type /help and it will show you all of the parameters that can be used.

Question:

We are running LANAID 1.0, which came with the Adapter. The /help does not list an /ether8023 command, and when executed, generates a warning. Needless to say, I still cannot run with IEEE802.3.

Answer:

You can download the file etijo2.exe from the IBM bbs at 919-517-0001. The file is in the reference disk area of the bbs. This lanaid v1.03 that will allow you to set the frame type.
